A MINISTRY FOR THE CHURCHES OF CHRIST

Christ's Ambassadors

Equipping the Saints

Dear Brethren,                                                                        July 2008

Who Are We?

In 1987, I began working with Fisher of Men. In 1992 keeping the original materials and methods from Fisher’s of Men, I began a new ministry called Christ’s Ambassadors in order to teach Christians how to more effectively evangelize.  This September marks our 22nd year in teaching others how to conduct home Bible studies.  Our comprehensive evangelistic approach uses a non-confrontational method of Bible study that stresses practical ways to integrate Christians into a local congregation.

Matthew 28:19-20 commands “So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to do everything I have commanded you.”

What can we do for your local congregation and what you can do for Christ’s Ambassadors?

When you agree to support Christ’s Ambassadors for $200 per month for two years, ( that is only 25 people giving $2 per week ) your congregation will be eligible to receive the following:

He want to help you reach out in your local area. So we are offering you:

The weekend “Quest for Truth” seminar FREE.  You will be able to have a workshop every other year, FREE! The only cost will be the travel expense of the instructor. Each student attending pays only $3.00 for their 62 page workbook.

The eleven week “Equipping the Saints” course FREE. We provide a full set of the 11 instructional DVDs taught by Christ Ambassador’s director, Don Calhoun. Each of the 11 DVDs contains 1 1/2 hours or more of lessons in evangelism and daily Bible study. Each student will purchase his/her own 438 page workbook for just $50 which includes shipping. Grading of  students’ homework and leading class discussion following each lesson is performed by a member of your own congregation.

Turn over to read about:            What have we accomplished?

                                                        The Program includes:

                                                        What are our plans?

                                                        Bible Study is the Key.

                                                                 What have we accomplished?

We have had the opportunity to teach over 16,000 students who in turn have baptized over 10,000 people.  With God’s help, this was accomplished using the Christ’s Ambassadors’ methods and materials.

The Program includes:

An 11-week Equipping the Saints course which teaches church members basic Bible knowledge and a method for reaching and teaching the un-churched. The course uses a 438-page book with Scriptures teaching Bible basics and with information on evangelistic strategies, including “How to talk to people about God,” “How not to be offensive,” and “How to control the conversation”.

A weekend “Quest for Truth” seminar draws participants from congregations in a local area. The seminar is designed to spark interest in the method and give people the most basic tools they need to talk to others. It uses a 62-page workbook which includes instruction on interesting someone in studying the Bible and on teaching a home Bible study.

The “Quest for Truth” home Bible study lessons are an organized study for teaching the Bible and salvation

 What are our plans?

Increase our efforts to reach more individuals with God’s Word by presenting additional classes and workshops nationwide and  to support your church’s local evangelism work

Developing a program to put the study materials on the web. (You can see a sample of this by going to WWW.QFTs.org and clicking on Introduction to Bible study, in the index at the top.  Just a hint.. answer them incorrectly first to see how they work).

Develop an unlimited reach through the internet locally and internationally so when someone conducts a search using key words such as “bible study” they will find us.

Developing a method to teach home Bible studies by using our instructional materials and DVDs.

 Bible Study it the Key

Why has Christ’s Ambassadors been successful? The key is that it involves people in Bible study. If you get someone to study the Bible for an average of one hour a day for eleven weeks, God will change them. The idea is to create good habits in Bible study and enrich the individual’s life. We want it to be something they enjoy for the rest of their lives.

Please pray for Christ Ambassadors and how we can help your church and spread the Good News in your area and  the entire world.

Join us to reach the lost souls in your area and around the world...
