Text Box: 2005 was a great year for Christ’s Ambassadors! We were able to get some very badly needed equipment and there were lots of classes.

As the year came to a close and we begin to get ready for a new year of working for the Lord, we received new challenges. Airport Freeway Church of Christ Elders have been overseeing Christ’s Ambassadors since 1987. This last year Airport Freeway had some of its’ own challenges with the resignation of three elders and three new elders installed. They also have had to find a new pulpit preacher, who will begin this August. The new Elders decided in December to change the goals of Airport Freeway Church of Christ and focus on the local community and dropped all support to everyone and all ministries outside of their local church area. Their support for Christ’s Ambassadors went from $500 per week to $50 per week by July 2006 and they ceased overseeing Christ’s Ambassadors on December 15, 2005.

Our focus then was to find another group of Elders that strictly follows the word of the Lord to oversee Christ’s Ambassadors. We were blessed when Hillcrest Church of Christ Elders, in Gainesville, Texas saw the opportunity to increase their involvement with Christ’s Ambassadors and became the new overseers and continue their support. Hillcrest Church of Christ Elders began overseeing Christ’s Ambassadors just two weeks after Airport Freeway Church of Christ resigned.

We are so happy to be working with the faithful Elders and membership at Hillcrest Church of Christ. Thank You Hillcrest!

We then began to try to regain the support we lost. Brad Bell an Elder at Seneca Church of Christ in Seneca, Missouri heard about our need to replace the lost support and spoke to the other elders there. They all wanted to help so they are now helping to support Christ’s Ambassadors.

We still have not regained our base support and need your help. Here’s how you can help…

Text Box: Ask your Elders to invite Christ’s Ambassadors to visit your congregation and present the opportunity to be a partner with us by adding Christ’s Ambassadors to your 2007 budget. With the visit we will find other ways Christ’s Ambassadors can help your congregation grow closer to each other and the Lord and bring others to Christ.

If your congregation is already supporting Christ Ambassadors, THANK YOU!!! Ask your Eldership to continue their support in 2007. I would be happy to make a visit to your congregation to give a report and say Thank you in person.

NEW MATERIAL
(You may not know about)

1. Equipping the Saints class on DVD. This DVD shows Don Calhoun teaching the class. This means a congregation can have a class using this DVD with someone in your own congregation leading the class.

2. Teacher Copy of QFT’s. They are printed on 8 1/2 x 14 paper. They give you the answers and room for notes. We also added some word illustrations and some more information in the reviews.

3. QFT’s are available in Spanish, Russian, Italian and African!
