Text Box: Dear Brother Calhoun:
I just wanted to drop you a line or two about our recent Christ's Ambassadors class.  We will have three truly outstanding graduates.
One is an elder at our congregation.  He and I studied with a nice lady who I am happy to report was baptized on December 4th.  Travis is very impressed with the class material.  He is also looking to get a new converts class started.
Our second graduate, Lou Ann, is the wife of the youth minister.  She and I also studied with the nice lady, Dena Fedor, who was baptized last Sunday.  Lou Ann studied with Dena's daughter, Kailene, and she was also baptized last Sunday.  Lou Ann
Text Box: said that the teaching and DI'ing techniques are very useful as she and her husband work with the youngsters.
Our third graduate, Stacy, has just recently returned to the church after being out of duty for several years, and she has come back quite strongly.  She has stirred up the other teachers at her school quite vigorously.  She has been quite courageous in approaching souls.
Sister Fedor made a comment during our study with her daughter that was very amusing.  Kailene was very surprised that we were making her think instead of just spoon-feeding doctrine to her.  When she made a big sigh of
Text Box: exasperation her mother said, "Honey, they will hand you a shovel and show you where to dig, but you have to dig for yourself."
I thought her comment made a good summary of the discovery teaching process.
Brother Calhoun, we are quite grateful to you for making this material available.  These two souls are not the last ones that will be brought to Christ as a result of this class.  The ripples from this class will be felt for many years.

It was a great joy to work with this church. Mark Engel the minister had really done a great job in getting this brotherhood ready for the workshop. He talked to other congregations about coming and some did. My
Text Box: wife, Angie and I drove up on Friday.  Saturday we started the workshop. The members of the workshop had a lot of enthusiasm for evangelism and so many good ideas. The workshop was great. I really enjoyed the fellowship. They made my wife and I feel apart of the family there. You know, that is the way even Christians should feel
Text Box: when visiting another congregation. So each one of us need to be on the outlook for visitors and make them feel at home.
I preached the am Worship on “Baptism is Essential for Salvation”. Then in the afternoon I did a certification class for Mark Engel so he could teach the Equipping the Saints 11 week coarse. His first class was to start in a couple of weeks.
Text Box: LETTERS FROM THE MISSION FIELD
I received an urgent call from Phillip King, a Christ Ambassadors Certified Teacher and Preacher at Ennerdale Church of Christ in South Africa .  I have the privilege and blessing of working with him every time I go to South Africa.
His wife had been diagnosed with several large masses and needed immediate surgery.  (In South Africa you must pay before your surgery.)  So without the funds to have the surgery he reached out to a brother in Christ.  I contacted a few churches and was blessed with $5,800 to send to them.

Don,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  I want to say THANK YOU again for all the prayers and support.  The results came back from the lab, and everything is fine according to the doctor.  The operation was successful, the doctor was shocked when he operated and learned how huge these solid mass were.  Before he performed the surgery, he asked Michelle if they could say a prayer.  Michelle has been discharged today from the hospital and will recover further at home.  Michelle has been in hospital 11 days, we have to pay the hospital fees.  The funds we have received went for the surgery.  The hospital charge is $360 per day, $3,960.  Don we will highly appreciate if your help in this regard, as I have mention to you before  that we have lost support.

Your fellow servant,
Phillip & Michelle King

Phillip needs support for his work and also needs an overseeing congregation.  I am praying for this because I have seen how much good he is doing for the Lord.

Text Box: Dear Brother Calhoun,
This outreach program (Christ’s Ambassadors) has been tremendously successful. Since we started it we have baptized five of Toni’s neighbors and taught many others.  The classes average eight person each evening.
This year Toni moved into a smaller home, but not to be deterred she moved her class to the church building for each Monday at 7:30 PM, and passed out her flyers and bought refreshments as usual.  This past Monday there were eleven of us in attendance, and when the invitation was extended four of the students responded and were
Text Box: baptized. These students have had long association with Toni and the church. They attended VBS, Picnics, Fellowships, Gospel Meetings and their grandmother Patricia Mosley was Toni's guest at our year end, After 5 Banquet Fellowship held at Bates Hall.  The other converts were Mosley's grandchildren, Adorn Samad, Napoleon Samad, and Brijauae Bandy.
As you can see this is a great evangelistic tool, all that seems to be required is an invitation to your neighbors and friends, a little imagination, and committed Bible Teachers.  Toni's class is taught by Thelonious Polk,
Text Box: George Cuevas, and Henry King. These men are Ambassador For Christ teachers.  It just so happens that Toni's class is usually taught by men, however this type of class can just as easily be taught by a Sister, In fact Lislie Richardson has taught a series of lessons for Toni. As I recall it was a class of  6-7 women that met each evening for refreshments and Bible Study.  Praise God for Toni, and lets all find a way to make the outreach ministries work.
Have a blessed day,
